Most owners know their best referrer by feel, and they're often wrong. Log each job's source and the leaderboard ranks everyone by jobs and by revenue, so you know who to thank and who to ask.
What's inside
- A job log with a dropdown for the referral source
- A leaderboard that ranks by revenue and by jobs
- A list you maintain, so names stay consistent
- 1Past customers$41,20014 jobs$41,200
- 2Realtor partner$22,8006 jobs$22,800
- 3Neighbor referrals$17,1009 jobs$17,100
- 4Google search$15,9008 jobs$15,900
- 5Property manager$12,4003 jobs$12,400
Set it up
- Delete the sample rows. They're marked as sample data.
- On the Sources tab, list the people and places that send you work: past customers, partners, agents, and channels such as Google or a sign.
- Log each new job on the Jobs tab and pick its source from the dropdown.
- Open the Leaderboard tab. Thank your top three in person this month.
Consistent names matter. "Pat Lee" and "P. Lee" count as two people, which is why the dropdown is built in.
Using it in Google Sheets
- Download the file, then drag it into your Google Drive.
- Right-click it and choose Open with, then Google Sheets.
- Use File, then Save as Google Sheets so you have an editable copy.
It works the same in Excel. The numbers in the preview above are made-up sample data, there only to show what the sheet looks like when it's in use.
